We are thrilled to announce the release of our Annual Report for 2023/24. It is always surprising to look back every year and see how much we have achieved with the work and support of the TVERC staff and volunteers, and all the individuals, recording groups and conservation organisations in Berkshire and Oxfordshire!
Key Highlights:
- Data Collection and Analysis: TVERC has enhanced the quality of habitat data and processed nearly half a million species records, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of local biodiversity.
- Community Involvement: The report details the active participation of local naturalists and wildlife groups, whose efforts have been crucial in recording and protecting the region’s wildlife.
- Local Nature Recovery Strategies: TVERC has played a pivotal role in developing Local Nature Recovery Strategies for both counties, using advanced mapping and analysis tools to prioritise biodiversity recovery.
- Educational Initiatives: The report highlights TVERC’s engagement with students and the broader community through internships, workshops, and events aimed at fostering environmental awareness and education.
The TVERC Annual Report 2023/24 is now available for download on the TVERC website. We invite all stakeholders, partners, and community members to explore the detailed findings and join us in celebrating a year of impactful environmental work.
