Noticing Nature events

Join us for our Free "Noticing Nature" Events! We are excited to introduce our new series of "Noticing Nature" events! These events are designed to help people slow down, look closely, and rediscover the beauty and biodiversity of the natural world around them.

Whether you’re walking through a bustling town or a quiet meadow, nature is always present—molehills, birdsong, wildflowers, and towering trees all tell stories of the ecosystems we live alongside. These events offer a unique opportunity to observe, learn, and share your wildlife sightings, contributing to a richer understanding of local biodiversity.

Participants will be introduced to simple wildlife identification techniques and encouraged to record their observations using tools like iNaturalist. These records are vital for conservation efforts and help TVERC build a clearer picture of the region’s ecological health.

Last week, we spent a sunny morning exploring the rare alkaline fen habitat at Hinksey Heights Nature Trail and spotting species like Marsh Lousewort, Common Cotton Grass and the Drinker Moth Caterpillar. Don't miss out on upcoming Noticing Nature Events
