Most searches incur a charge, depending on the reason for the request. View our charging policy to understand why we charge.
It is important that you read and understand the following guidance notes:
We usually complete searches within three working days, although you can request a faster service for an additional charge. See our data search charges and response time for further details.
TVERC covers Berkshire and Oxfordshire. We will only supply data records that fall within the TVERC boundaries. Should your enquiry extend beyond these boundaries, you may need to contact one of our neighbouring records centres. Use the ALERC website to identify the appropriate LERC to contact.
In cases where the search area is incomplete, the fee will be adjusted to correspond with the proportion of the search area that lies within the TVERC boundaries, in addition to the base charge.
How can I access TVERC data?
You can request data by submitting a request via our Data Search Request Form
How can I share the data provided by TVERC?
The report or raw data must not be shared beyond those listed on intended distribution and must not be published in the public domain. The data we supply should be summarised or interpreted to aid in the appraisal of the area’s biodiversity value, guide further survey work and supplement field interpretation. A separate one-page summary sheet will be delivered with the data search report and contains a summary of the findings for the search area. This may be published, e.g., in planning portals, as proof that a data search report has been obtained from TVERC.
